As part of the eTwinning project “Meet Cultures – Make Friends”, our school welcomed the students of the Polish Primary School Niepubliczna Szkoła Podstawowa św. św. Cyryla i Metodego from Białystok, and on Thursday, June 4th, we went on a wonderful visit to beautiful Vlasti. There, the 6th-grade students of our school and the 16 Polish students visited the Swedish Weaving School, where they enthusiastically participated in an experiential workshop, learned about the history of the region’s weaving tradition and were given a guided tour of the historic Holy Church of Saint Nicholas.
For the realization of this unique experience, we would like to warmly thank the Prefecture of Western Macedonia for covering the transportation expenses, the head of the Vlasti community, Mr. Ioannis Tzioumaris, for the guided tour, as well as Ms. Zisakou Triantafyllia, Ms. Tziafeta Christina, and Ms. Tzatzari Aikaterini for the excellent weaving workshop.
